Freedom-loving people.
Once again, the brutal imperialist capitalist states and their regional allies have plunged Syria into another cycle of war, destruction, and mass displacement. Yet, since the outbreak of the civil war in Syria in 2011, over 7 million Syrians have been displaced, and tens of thousands of innocent people have been massacred or injured and maimed. Even though a large part of the country’s infrastructure has been destroyed, hunger, poverty, unemployment and lack of services have become the lot of the citizens of this country and all pillars of civilized society have been left destroyed yet the Islamic groups close to Turkey, the so-called
“Hayat Tahrir al-Sham-Liberation of the Levant” and the “Syrian National Army” have attacked the cities of Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama and the surrounding areas and started a bloody war that has led to tens of thousands of people leaving their homes. Among them, about 250,000 Kurdish residents of Aleppo have been forced to flee their homes to areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for fear of attacks by Islamist groups. Dozens of people have also been abducted and disappeared. The reactionary states of the region and the imperialist powers are preparing to advance their political plans in this war at the expense of the people of Syria and the destruction of the country.
According to the latest information from human right organizations, thousands of innocent and defenseless people are currently trapped in the war zone with no way out and are at risk of being massacred by Islamic terrorists loyal to Turkey. At the same time, these groups have started cutting off water and electricity to the Kurdish suburbs of Aleppo. Thus, these defenseless people who are tired of war and fighting are facing death threats from all sides.
This situation requires masses of people worldwide to come to the fore, with the active participation of the working class and the socialist and progressive forces at a time when Syria has become a battleground for Russia, the United States, and the other global reactionary powers and their regional allies for influence in Syria and the region. Their intervention will only further destabilize the situation in this region and destroy the lives and security of its people. The only concern of these powers is their interests and sphere of influence in the region, as well as redividing the Middle East among themselves. In order to advance their interests, they’re ready to set fire to the entire region. However, not only these reactionary forces can decide the future of the people in this region, but also the left, socialist, and progressive movements can emerge independently of these forces and determine a peaceful future for the region free from war and destruction. The freedom-loving people of this region and the world can achieve this goal. By coming to the fore, we can change the current disastrous situation. This is the task of the progressive people of the region supported by the progressive and freedom-loving people of the world.
Progressive and freedom-loving people!
The people of Aleppo, Hama, and the surrounding areas need support and solidarity. Without an immediate a human catastrophe will be visited upon the people of this area. The victory of these reactionary Islamist armed groups is not only a disaster for the Syrian people but also is a major threat to the region and even the world. The progressive people must force the imperialist states and reactionary states of the region to abandon their plans to prevent a human catastrophe! They must be forced to leave the area. We must force the bakers of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and other terrorist groups to stop their support. We must force the United Nations and other international organizations to immediately come to the aid of displaced people and those who have fled the country. We must support the Syrian people to decide their political future. In this way, the people of the area can establish their own desired authority, eliminate the danger of these groups to their lives and future, and determine the region’s future according to their own will.
We call on you to act swiftly against the attacks by armed terrorist groups and against rivalry among global powers and their regional allies at the expense of the people of Syria and the region. We call on you, to take immediate action to protect the people of Syria and to mobilize the world against this barbarism. By mobilizing civilized humanity, we can end this barbarism. Let’s join hands to end this disaster. Let’s join hands to help the refugees.
