Kurdish Refugee after 22 years living with children is forcibly being deported to Baghdad
Today, Mr Cardow Hussan Ali from Harmondsworth detention Centre contacted IFIR. Said ‘I am in a van with a security guard and I have been given a deportation order for today to go by Turkish Air lines at 13.35 and I am being forcibly deported to Baghdad Airport.
Mr Cardo contacted IFIR and is asking for help to not be deported “I am living in the UK for 22 years and I have four children in the UK I don’t want to be separated from my family”
Two more Kurdish asylum seekers held in detention Centre’s have tickets for 20 and 28 of September 2022 also forcible deportation to Baghdad (Iraq). The plan is to remove them one by one via Turkish Air lines.
IFIR has received information stating that Tom Pursglove MP (Minister for Justice and Tackling Illegal Migration), wrote a letter to Mr Nazar Al-Khirullah (Deputy Foreign Minister of Iraq) on 6 April 2022.
In summary the letter states Tom Pursglove’s thanks to Mr Nazar Al-Khirullah in signing an agreement to enable repatriation flights to the Kurdish region of Iraq. In his letter Tom Pursglove wrote: “This will enable the smooth repatriation of Iraqi Kurds, who comprise a significant number of Iraqi’s in the UK” he thanked Mr Nazar Al-Khirullah’s for his agreement, the provision of documentary assistance will help overcome any transit obstacles at Baghdad
