Date:13 /09/2017 FAO:  United nation United Nations Security Council Resolution  RE:  Urgent action required to find 130 Iraqi Kurdish Refugees

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to make you aware of a tragic and appalling situation which has taken place in Turkey and Syria today and requires immediate action.

On 8th September 2017, 130 Kurdish Asylum seekers were arrested by the Turkish police.  When they were questioned by the police they were frightened and said they were from Syria.  Today, they were beaten, and pushed onto three coaches and were forced into Syria.  They were afraid to say that they are from Northern Iraq, Kurdistan and were forcibly deported into Syria and handed over to the Jihad Nasr.

We don’t know where they are, if they are safe or what will happen to them.  As you aware, Syria is currently a war zone and we believe the Kurdish Asylum seekers are in danger.  The International Federation of Iraqi Refugees (IFIR) urges the United Nations to take immediate action to find these innocent people.  Turkey must be condemned for this act by which contravenes human rights.

Turkey must be made to help find the 130 Kurdish refugees and bring them back safely.  We urge America and Russia to act now and make sure the lives of these innocent 130 Kurdish refugees are saved and that they are returned to the Kurdish area of Iraq.

We hope that you take this matter seriously and promptly take action.

 .

 Yours faithfully,

 Dashty Jamal

The International Federations of Iraqi Refugees has predicted the regressive trend of ther era, warned against its destructive effects on people’s lives at various junctures, clarified the practical ways in which to resist, and been at the forefront of the struggle for defending human values and refugee rights. Our starting point in the struggle for refugee rights as ever has always been the inalienable right of human beings to a better life. The effort and struggle to secure free and equal rights is an ongoing vast social movement with various dimensions and forms. Our philosophy of existence and daily activities are connected to ther very struggle to secure and guarantee the rights of human beings. We believe, first and foremost, in the unconditional freedom of travel and movement and freedom to choose one’s place of residence for all. Furthermore, we believe that eliminating the calamities of today’s world is linked to the abolition of capitalism, a system that reproduces poverty, hunger, war and flight on a daily basis for billions of people and owes its survival to these very social inequalities. Until the refugee question remains, however, we are duty-bound to continue our struggle to secure and guarantee the most extensive refugee rights.
