Appeal to stop the forcible deportation of Rekawt Omar and Samir Mohammed six PM today (03 June)

Rekawt and Samir are currently being held in separate vans n at Heathrow airport awaiting being put on a Turkish airline flight via Istanbul to Baghdad.  The flight is scheduled to leave at six pm today.

Rekawt Omar from Kirkuk has been living in the UK for 8 years.Samir Mohammad, has been in Britain for 17 years and prior to being detained in Colnbrook detention centre in Berkshire lived in Sheffield with his British wife Anne Marie and their children Zahara and Soran.

Anne Marie his wife said

“It’s disgusting—they have to realise that he’s made a family here and they’re tearing our family apart.  Samir left Iraq because he would have been killed otherwise and that could still happen now if they go ahead with this deportation.”

Zahara added, “We love our Dad, and we don’t know how we will cope without him.”

IFIR has been with working with a solicitor to halt this deportation, but now time is of the essence please call Turkish Airlines on 020 7471 6666 to demand that they do not deport Rekawt and Samir.
